Cinema Taco in Charlottesville

Great taco but the guy serving with all the piercings and love bites was so damn rude! I sincerely hope the owners read this!

My shrimp tacos were underdone and I asked for them to cook them a little more, and they took the plate back. Ten minutes later they came back with cold shrimp that were no different than before. Never going there again.

Quick and delicious (the chipolte sauce is fire) staff was super nice and they have pinapple jarritos what more could ya ask for?

Some of the best taco/nacho combos in the area. Find it tucked away beside the cinema on the strip, could be hard to miss if first time finding it.

one star for the food, one star cause I survived. the guac tasted like it was cut with green play-doh. the corn tortilla was practically paper. subpar ingredients. not worth it.

Love the food but their hours are super unpredictable. Their posted hours say they’re open until 11pm but I just walked to their doors and walked away hungry and disappointed at 7:15 finding they were closed.

They're chips are actually flavorful unlike a lot of places in town. Tacos are delish but the quesadillas are Perfection. Plus, they don't skimp on the serving sizes. Lots of options to build your own meal. There's always fast and kind service.

Disgusting. Stopped here on my way to Florida and the entire building was unsanitary. SAW A ROACH! Tried to tell management, they said it was a "safe space" (what is this?) and it would be a microagression (?) against poor people to remove the pests!

Skip this one. We always try to find non-chain places when we travel, but sometimes you stumble upon a place that dashes your hope and faith in small eateries. I was disappointed by Cinema Taco. They do have tacos, but the only Cinema portion of this establishment is that you sit in the lobby of a cold and poorly maintained theater. I tried my best to be friendly to the staff, but they weren't having any of it. Instead, I got a greasy Chicken quesadilla, a bad attitude and an old boom box blaring unrecognizable grunge music. I suppose this place is acceptable if you are in college and just want some cheese in a tortilla, but I was concerned by the staff's lack of attention. Skip this local place if you are visiting Charlottesville.

This place is awesome! A little slow at times, so if you're wanting lunch at the typical lunch time, I would suggest getting there a little early.The super nachos and the quesadilla are both awesome!!! They'll pretty much put whatever in on their line in/on them as well. Want rice in your quesadilla? It's awesome! The purple pickled stuff? Put it in there because it's awesome too! I could go on and on... heck now I know where I'm going to lunch tomorrow.

Great soft tacos. Incredible toppings. Especially loved the sauteed vegetables. Great fast lunch alternative or anytime for that matter.

I would have given this place 4 stars, if not for the recent price change. The food is decent, but they jacked up prices so that a burrito now cost $10. That's without chips or a drink, so it's a little steep, especially considering the quality is similar to other local taco places where $10 gets you a burrito, a drink, and a side. Also, if there's at least 2 people ahead of you in line, plan on being there for 15 minutes or more. The service is overly friendly, which is the only thing keeping me from going lower on the rating.

Baja fish taco is on point...super nachos amazing....if you dont eat here you are missing out!!!!

Bleh. Just paid over $10 for a taco, chips, side of salsa and side of guacamole. The taco shell was soggy and immediately fell apart. The salsa and chips were okay, but the guacamole tasted incredibly bitter (they might have used under ripe avocados). Would recommend Brazos Tacos instead.

Staff was very rude and hostile.

This place was excellent. The food was good and the Ambiance was good. it took awhile for the food to be prepped that's because there was one person doing all of the work. I bet at a busier time if there's more than one person it would go even quicker or smoother. That's the only reason for four stars. Their queso was excellent. If you're in the mood for tacos this is a place to go stop at.

I don't have a picture to add to this review because I enjoyed the taco too much to stop eating and take one. 🌮🌮🌮If you're in the area and want a delicious, quick, reasonably priced bite, this is the spot for you.

Amazing traditional carnitas tacos!

Kinda mediocre. The seating is literally crammed in to the entry way of a movie theater, and the food is only so-so.
